Arizona heat changes how we play. Here's how we keep paws cool from May to October.
Early-bird yard time
June through September, outdoor play happens before 10 AM, when the turf is still cool.
Turf checks every hour
We check surface temps with an infrared thermometer. Over 120°F, everyone heads inside.
Shade and misters
Both outdoor yards have full shade sails and misters, plus cool water stations refilled all day.
Monsoon-ready
Storm-shy dogs get a quiet room with white noise when the summer storms roll through.

Where are you, exactly?
100 Sample Way, at Dune Ridge Rd in Sandbox Valley. There's free parking out front and a drop-off lane on the east side.
How do you keep dogs safe in the summer heat?
Outdoor play moves to before 10 AM from June through September. We check turf temperatures every hour and bring everyone inside above 120°F. Our indoor yards are climate-controlled all day.
Which neighborhoods do you serve?
Sandbox Valley, Dune Ridge, Copper Mesa, Sagebrush Park, Castle Sands, Tumbleweed Ranch and Mirage Point. Most families are within a 15-minute drive.
Is Paws Pickup available here?
Not yet. Paws Pickup is coming to Sandbox Valley in spring 2027.
Are prices the same as other Mo'Tail locations?
Each location sets its own prices. The prices on this page are for Sandbox Valley.
Does my membership work at other locations?

What vaccines are required?
Rabies, distemper, parvo and Bordetella, uploaded to your dog's profile in the app before the first visit.
Are there breed restrictions?
No. We never turn a dog away based on breed. Every daycare dog passes a temperament screening first.
What does a daycare day include?
Indoor and outdoor play yards, supervised group play, enrichment activities, nap time, shade, fresh water and plenty of potty breaks.
My dog doesn't love group play. Is there another option?
Yes. Day Stays offer one-on-one attention and a quieter pace for puppies, seniors and dogs over six months that aren't neutered.
Is someone there overnight?
Yes. Mo'Tail & Spaw is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What's the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 48 hours ahead. For late cancellations and no-shows we keep the deposit (the first night's price) and may charge up to 50% of the booking.
